A NOTE FROM LIGHT TO THE WORLD CHURCH

Beloved in Christ,

Greetings to all of you! 

It is a knowing fact that we all live in an unstable world full of chaos and sufferings. In spite of everything going on around us, we as a church should stay strong and united as never before. 

As you all probably know, political situation in Ukraine today is critical. People of Ukraine are going through dark times as shelling and bombing are a part of their everyday life now. Fear and perplexity is what they live with today. Trying to escape the horror of war, people try to flee in all direction leaving behind their homes and all belongings. 

It was brought to our attention that there are crowds of people at the border with Poland, Slovakia, Hungary and Moldova. We are receiving information from our brothers in Christ who are trying to help them safely cross the border and accommodate them after their transition. As the number of refugees is getting bigger each day, there is a need in more provision.

We, as a church, are creating a special emergency fund to help people of Ukraine. They all need our help. Together, we can help address their needs and help them get over what they are going through today. 

First and mostly important we ask you to join us in prayer that God will have mercy and deliver peace. 

 Our brothers and sisters have already mobilized all their resources in providing humanitarian assistance to refugees. As their number grows daily, they experience shortage of things like mattresses, clothing, essentials, as well as food and water. Many people need medical attention, medications as well as counseling.  

We would appreciate your help in joining us with prayers as well as financially. All the funds will go directly to churches and spiritual leaders who are helping refugees at this time.
